I like history too, but it's a kind of useless subject XD

well, I agree that some of the themes that we learn about (specially the one's Karri and I had during middle school) was pretty boring.... like world war 1 and 2 and all other kinds of war that none of us had really heard of nor really cared about... I'm fed up with history of war this and war that.... But there are lots of much older history that are really interesting! Trust me, I didn't like history that much myself until like 2 years ago..

I do find the war history interesting, especially world war 2 because my country was heavely involved and I also really 'liked' the Vietnam war/Cold war.

My favorite part from history must be what we call 'De Gouden Eeuw', which was from 1588 till 1702, if I'm right.

History was actually one of my best subjects in high school xD

History was my best subject too
But I don't remember anything before 1700/French Revolution-ish because I had that in elementary school :S [except when it comes to building-styles and fashion since we had a class with that this year xD]

Well excuse me, Karri, for beeing interested in that theme
It will at least give me a great advantage when we get history after summer vacation! it's one of the few subjects I know that I can get top grades without working myself to death x3

Lol, what's Nynorsk?

It's a different form of Norwegian.. and the most stupid, pointless subject in school -.-

Norway has two official languages, though both are Norwegian; Norwegian and nynorsk, which literally translates into "new norwegian". (don't think there's an official english word for it XD)

it's like all the Norwegian dialects mixed together in one "new language".
For those who has normal norwegian, or bokmål, as it's called as their main language have to learn nynorsk when they enter middle school... it's really just a different way of writing and speaking the same language, but it's a real pain in the butt -_- A lot of the words are changed and the whole grammar is just bleeeeeehhhh >.< The grammar get's a lot more difficult, and even many norwegian teachers can't always get it right XD

What's funny though, is that almost none Norwegain teachers care to take time to learn us nynorsk... most likely because they hate it as much as we do XD
During our three years in middle school, Karri and I had like just a couple of nynorsk lessons, which is way to little compared to what we were supposed to have (not that I'm really complaining XD)
Even now that I'm in high school we bearly have nynorsk. during our first year now, we've had a total of 3-4 lessons (not kidding!!).... have a terrible feeling that next year will be different though ;S

I don't know if we're getting it next year either, but I guess we might :/

Bleehh, we're getting a really strict norwegian teacher next year... not enough that he's strict, but he's creepy too ;S

I only know what kind of teachers I will get for the "Design"-classes XD
And they're pretty strict :S

yeah, but the teacher we get always looks at us in a really creepy way, (same teacher as we had in sience this year), and when we made that..uhm...sience-show..?(naturfagsforestilling XD), when we were practicing and the teachers were watching, he always made the dances that the girls were doing more times than others.... we all kinda found that really creepy >.<

I've never really had creepy teachers. Only really funny or goofy ones. For example my French teacher I had in my first year of middle school. He was so funny and he was always trying to prank us xD Once he was calling in the middle of class with his 'daughter' but he doesn't even have a daughter xD And his Dutch was hilarious, because he's a real Frenchmen. But in my later years of school all my teachers were really serious and like 'exams, finals, you all are going to fail, finals, finals, FINALS'

We had some goofy ones too XD
But there were teachers that we didn't have, who were creepy
